He gets "big-name guests" on his show because his studio (at flagship station WSIX-FM) is on Music Row in Nashville. Gerry House had big-name guests on his show, too. So does everyone who has a time slot between 6am-7pm on WSIX. It's right smack in the middle of the industry!
