Dick Clark
It was very sad yesterday, getting the news about the great Dick Clark. But it also brought up a lot of old memories--he started in radio in Central NY, where I grew up, and although I don't remember him being on the air, I worked at those same stations later on, in a part-time capacity when I was first starting out
But my main memories are of walking in from school and my older sister having Bandstand on, and thinking how hip those older kids looked! Later on I got hooked on Shindig and Hullaballoo...Google them!
What about you? What are your memories.

Re: Dick Clark
Staying up late as a kid and watching his New Years Rockin' Eve and wondering why people on the east coast got to party before we did, ha.
He's a guy that had a million stories to tell. He'll be missed.
