Cool Edit Pro & Vista

Post by winterwest » Tue Dec 08, 2009 11:28 am

I recently bought a new laptop and loaded Cool Edit Pro to it to produce the phone interviews for my show on. I've run my mic through Line in, Mic, and my soundcard, too. I can pick up the audio from my phone but only the guests side. While they can hear me fine through their end, my audio in not recording.

Your signal chain should be: Microphone > Mic preamp/processor > split to one channel of line input and to the telephone interface device (hybrid).

The caller then goes to the other line input of the recording device.

To view the waveform on vista in real time you may need to add a freeware program called ASIO4all V2.8 Beta2

Your provided solution is also help to solving problem but as per my opinion first you have to check for sound driver it installed properly or not ? if not then installed appropriate driver .
